    3. I can't read the acres or the full price though it looks to be "thousand four hundred". The acres could be 81 or 8. something. I don't know the area so I'm not sure of the name Lyon's Creek but this is what it appears to be. Maybe someone knows and can tell me. Witnessed by son James Martin Hill JOHN HILL from CHARLES HILL This indenture made this the fifth day of April AD 1856 between Charles Hill of the County of Surry and state of North Carolina of the first part and John Hill his son of the same place of the second part witnesseth that the said Charles Hill for and in consideration of the sum of .. four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Hill the receipt whereof is hereby duly acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and doth by these presents give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said John Hill his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Surry on the waters of Lyons?
