    1. Re: [HILL-L] NC HILLS ??TN Cousin of Sen Benj. Harvey Hill of GA
    2. Jackie, Regarding your question repeated below, I cannot estimate ages other than to say that V. Royt Hill is probably in his 50s in 1941 because he sounds sort of avuncular and mentions unnamed adult children. There are only four letters from him and they are mostly chatty. They are from V. Royt Hill to what sounds like HIS Hill cousin, who met int he course of the day my Aunt Wilma in Louisiana and they started talking about Hill family genealogy generally. It doesn't sound like any cousinhood had been established. He is writing to "Charles and Elizabeth" because they wrote to him on behalf of my Aunt Wilma and Aunt Katheryne (who summered in Louisiana, while teaching in Virginia) MOST IMPORTANT, is that V. Royt Hill is NOT a descendant of Isaac Hill and Lucinda Wallace, but he mentions HIS earlier relatives as saying they have a relationship with Sen. Ben Harvey Hill's ancestors. That is why if anyone can recognize the Joab, Thomas, Henry Taylor Hill, Mary Hill Box I thought it might help us get a grip on Isaac Hill's ancestry. Janet Jackie asked: "In a message dated 7/26/2002 4:49:17 PM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: > Based on what you know (if anything)of the letter writers' ages, > can you give us a rough estimate of the dates of birth for Joab Hill, > his brother Thomas, the son Henry Taylor Hill and his daughter Mary > Hill Box, as well as this V.
