Looking for information about Charles J. Hill, born in 1796 in Connecticut, possibly Bethleham. He moved to Rochester where he had a mill and was elected as a Democrat as the 9th mayor in 1841. He lived on Prince Street where he died in 1883. He was married to someone named Silvana and they had several children: Charles B., Weathy, Hannah and Emily. Emily married someone named Pierce (Edward, I think). Her daughter, (my grandmother), was named Blanche and she was married twice - to Harold Strebeigh and in 1914 to Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte. While married to her first, she had three children - Harold who didn't survive into adulthood and twins, Blanche and Barbara Strebeigh, who were born in Rye, NY in 1902. They lived in New York and summered in fashionable resorts like Newport and Southampton.
