Looking for info on which family this William belonged. He was born approx. 1830 in NC somewhere. He is not the son of Ebenezer Hill who was in Lincoln Co. TN during this same time. William married Margaret Pulliam in 1851 and the family was in Lincoln Co. until at least 1880. Their sons John, William and Joseph Shields Hill all left TN and moved to AR then OK. Any help in finding where in NC William came from or who he belonged to would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help. Did William by chance have a daughter named Nancy? Was his middle name Samuel? Just have Hills that followed the same path..... Sorry Rhonda, No Nancy is listed as of 1880. Last child we have born for them is 1867. But that does not mean they could not have had one born after 1880. Also I believe there was a Hinton Hill family that seemed to follow the same route. We have not found a connection to them yet, but your Nancy may have come from them.
