    1. [HILL-L] John Hill 1860 Census MO

    3. Hill Researchers, 2 people have so graciously helped me out in finding my gggrandfather, John Hill's family in Indiana, in 1850. I am elated!! However, I must again ask for some help, if anyone is able to do so. The crucial record, that I have spent about 3 years looking for, is to find them on the MO or Iowa Census in 1860. They were in Mo in 1860, as they had a daughter born there in that year, however, they were in Iowa in 1858, therefore, I don't know if they may have been in route and just missed both states census, or if I just can't locate them. Again, I have no idea which counties to look in, in either state. I do know that they were in Benton Co. MO in 1870. In 1860 they would have children by the names of Alexander M., born 1846, Loretta, born 1847, Maria, born 1849, (possibly some in between these 2) Nancy, born 1852, Mary born 1853, Irene, born 1855, Adela, born 1857, Almeda, born 1858, and possibly Narcissis, born 1860. My gggrandmother's name was Labana/Labany/Labary/La! br/ Labeny E. Hill All these spellings were used. John was born in 1824, VA, and Labana was born in N.C. 1826. If anyone at all finds this family on the 1860 census, it would mean everything to me. Believe me, I have searched all over the state of MO. Again, my heartfelt thanks to those that helped me out in finding them in Indiana. Victoria Sills
