I can't help you, but something that struck me is that one of my aunt's middle name was HAYNES and my mother's DEWEESE. I haven't been able to find a connection but these are not your usual middle names. Their only brother's middle name was SHUTT. I haven't found the family in the Carolina's as yet. They were in DeKalb Co.TN before moving on to KY, AR. and other areas. My great grandfather was Henderson (Hense or Hins) HILL. Married 1st Matilda BENNETT 2nd Sarah ROBERTS/ROBARDS. He was son of John HILL and Polly GLOVER. Other children of John and Polly, I have as Susan, Wm. R. who married Mary Elizabeth Trammel, Thomas J.,Mary Jane,Elizabeth, Pleasant A. who married Mary Ann(Polly) Trammel and Henderson (mentioned above).
