I tried the big picture of everything I know (think) about my HILL ancestors and didn’t get any answers, so let’s go one step at a time. Grandmother, Martha Elizabeth Hill, said that she was born in Tupelo, MS in 1877. She said that her parents both died and she and her younger brother Thomas P. Hill came to live with an uncle in Nacogdoches Co., TX. The uncle died and she went to live with a friend, Doke Crawford, near Appelby, TX, about 1900. I knew the Crawford family and interviewed Doke Jr. about 1985. He told me that Betty came to live with them when he was about 3 (1898). He didn’t know anything about her past. I’ve checked all of the HILLs in Nacogdoches Co. and found no clues. Perhaps the uncle was her mother’s brother. I think that Martha Elizabeth and Thomas P. Hill were children of William T. Hill and Susan . Does anyone have any info on William T. Hill and Susan _____, who were in Tupelo, MS about 1880-1890? Vaughn
