In reply to: It=92s certainly been an interesting 48 hours. Leo, I saw your info on this mailing list. Joseph Hill was my great grandfather. HE was married three times. His first to Mira Lee, second to my great grandmother Sarah (Tucker) LEwis Smith. It was her third marriage also. My grandmother Isabel (Artie Bell ) Hill was a half sister to your Elgin G. who married Parthena. I have a lot of Hill info. Joseph's grandfparents were John and Mary Causby Hill who moved from Rhea County, TN to Cedar Co. Mo abt 1840. They had a large family and most of the children moved to Cedar Co. Also. Joseph and Mira came from Madison Co. Ala. in early 1850's. they later moved to Barry Co. where apparently Mira died. HE married Sarah August 1874, and they had two daughters Nancy Catherine born 1875, and my grandmother Isabel born 1879. Sarah divorced Joseph early 1881 after he apparently left and moved to Ozark County, Missouri . He married third time to Martha Cochrum. He died abt 1905 in Ozark County. I have been corresponding with another great granddaughter of Joseph's thru his son Anderson R. Hill. who was a brother to Elgin. I will look up her email address and send it to you.
