Richard, Stephen isn't real common among the Hills in 'my hill line' but I have a few. You didn't give me much to go on as to times, places. One thing for sure, I don't (yet?) show your Stephen, but I do have one born aft 1739 Stonington, New London CT, son of John Hill b 1699 RI & Mercy. At least, an excellent researcher added him as probable son to my group from Westerly RI passing through CT enroute to Dutchess Co, NY where they show on records from about 1752. I know little/nothing more of what became of that Stephen. He shows on my online tree at ancestry.com.
