Hi Melinda, My name is David Hill and I have been bouncing off a brick wall trying to find the parents of my GG Grandfather Andrew Hill, b. Enosburg Falls, VT 1827. Went to Canada and then back to the US after being married in Canada. My G Grandfather was Albert Hill b. 1851 in Canada. They then end up in Iowa in 1858 where his Wife died in 1863. Family tales were that he was possibly raised by another family as his parents were older when he was born.??????????? In studying the list you put on the Hill list I found an Andrew and a Lyman Hill. One of my leads from 3 years ago was there was a Lyman Hill listed as immigrating to Canada in the 1830,s. Your Lyman may have fallen into that age group. One family tale was that His fathers name was John Hill and he was born in New Hampshire. There seems to be very few Northern Hill's on the list and you have certainly stimulated my curiosity. When and If I get around to the DNA test (we have had continuous male heirs each generation since Andrew) I'm hoping I can find some more information. Thank you for the information.
