First of all, you didn't originally make it clear what type of DNA testing you consider to be a fraud. And then, you might also state that it is your "opinion only" that MtDNA is a fraud (I don't agree by the way) instead of treating your opinion as fact. Will MtDNA be valuable to those who want results that will benefit them in their genealogical research? Not likely. But then, I don't remember ever reading anything that stated that it would. Maybe you could enlighten me with a source that states that MtDNA will benefit someone doing genealogical research...I'd like to see that. I'm glad you can tell everyone that light skinned people in America probably came from Europe...that's an insight I think most people could come up with on their own. However, some people are curious to find out their deep matrilineal ancestry. I'm not sure if you have done any research on MtDNA research, but if you did, you'd find that there were different tribes in Europe, each having it's own unique MtDNA markers. I'm guessing that most people who take the test want to find out which tribe their deep matrilineal lineage belonged to. It's an academic curiosity that many people have. Is that "fraud"? I don't think so. If DNA testing companies were stating that their MtDNA tests were beneficial for genealogical purposes, maybe then you would have an argument for your "fraud" opinion. However, as I previously mentioned, you might want to provide sources. I'm not sure what authority you think you have that you can tell people to take or not take a test. How about telling people to do research and make up their own minds? There's nothing wrong with adding your opinion, as long as you don't treat it as fact. My opinions seem to differ greatly from yours, but then, I'm not telling people what to do or not do, nor am I treating my opinion as fact.
