Jacob Hill and Maria Apollonia Merkel of Windsor Township, Berks County - and their desendants that settled in Westmoreland County. I'm always trying to sort out the sons that moved to Westmoreland and the tales of their Indian troubles - Jonathon Hill and John Peter Hill. Also, the origin of this family doesn't seem to be clear - perhaps because there were several Jacob Hills in Berks. Tom
