Elaine, Do you have any info on an Oliver Hill b. abt. 1830? Census records say he was born in KY, but his daughter's death cert. says he was b. in Oh. I can't find anything on this gg grandfather before he married in 1858 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IL. I have him in 1860 & 1870 census (Tazewell Co., IL) & then there is no more info. His wife is listed in 1880 as a widow, but no record of his death has been found or any cemetery listing. I have a gg grandmother who listed herself as a widow in the censuses, but my gg grandfather was alive & well & didn't die until several years after her. So maybe Oliver was still kicking in 1880!
