Hello All, I am looking for the parents of Stephen Hill who was born about 1790, possibly in CT. He married Laura Spencer in 1814 in Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY. The 1880 Census indicates that the parents of both Laura and Stephen were born in CT. Laura was born before 20 Feb 1793. They had 4 children, Polly C., Lucinda Leach, James M. and Stephen Spencer. Stephen Hill died in 1856 while he and his sons James and Stephen and their families were traveling to Randolph County, IL. Lucinda married Jonathan Conklin Rockwell and stayed in NY. Laura Spencers father was Miles Spencer who was from Farmington, CT. Richard From the shores of Grand Traverse Bay
