I am ultimately searching for the family of Jane Hill (b. abt 1811) who married Thomas Cox in Amherst County, Va. in 1831 and lived in Nelson County by the 1850 census. She may have been the daughter of Samuel Hill, son or grandson of James Hill (1758-1831). The estate records of John Hill (d. Amherst 1801) show a judgment in favor of Samuel Hill and Samuel Hill, Jr. Can anyone help with (i) families of any Samuel Hill in Amherst or Nelson Counties, Va roughly 1775-1825 or (ii) the family groups of any of the Amherst Hill families in that period other than John and James mentioned above, whose children I have?
