John Hill (1795 Cobb Co, GA- 1870 Winston Co, AL) married Catherine Barnwell in Hall Co, GA. She was the daughter of John Barnhill/Barnwell and Mary. They lived in Cobb County. The first son, William stayed in Cobb County. John Sr. moved to Winston Co, AL before the 1860 Census with John, Jr, Mary Elizabeth and Robert Alexander. My Uncle and his cousin left information that John Hill, Sr's parents were Joseph Hill and Mary ___ of NC. Joseph was in the Revolutionary War. I have not been able to prove this. Can anyone help?
