Hi, I'm just putting my line back out here again and hoping for a nibble. Josiah Hanley Hill was born around 1810 in SC, possibly Darlington Co. His father was Isaac who was born around 1787 also in SC. I don't have a name for Josiah's mother, but she was born in VA. Josiah married Nancy Stephens Hopkins. Nancy was born in 1805 Wythe Co, Va, and she 1st married a John L. Hopkins. They were living in Monroe Co., Tenn around 1828 when her 1st husband was killed. Josiah probably married her around 1831. They had the following seven children: 1)Henry Stephens Hill b. ca 1833 in Ala who married Corinthia Martha Hopkins (ch: Charles Hopkins, Mary G, Addie, Henry "Harry", Joseph, John and Ida) 2) Elizabeth S. Hill b. abt 1836 Ala who married William Banks Anthony (ch: ???) 3) Richard Watson Hill b. 1840 Ala who married 1st wife Nancy E. Fulton (ch: Richard "Dick", Harry H. Fulton, Maggie Elizabeth) 4) William Stephens Hill b. 1841 Pontotoc Co., Miss who married Amelia Josephine Willis (ch: Minnie Pearl, Thomas Henry "Harry", Orion Alvah) 5) E.J. Hill male b. abt 1844 Miss who married ?? ch ??, 6) Mary J Hill b. abt 1847 in Tx married ?? ch ?? 7) Ann A. Hill b. abt 1851 in Tx married ?? ch ??
