Elaine and other Hill folks. Carter Hill was the son of John Hill and Annie Naomi Camp. John is the son of Abel Hill b. c. 1730 VA. Carter Hill was born March 18, 1805 in Franklin County , Georgia; died July 29, 1881 and buried near Winder, Georgia in the Family Cemetery which is now in the Yargo Park Reservation. Married (1) August 1929 in Walton County, Georgia to Dorcas Tabitha Hosch, born c. 1810-1815 in South Carolina; died in 1839 Walton County, Georgia and was buried in the Old Boman Cemetery near Jug Tavern (now Winder, Georgia), daughter of Mathew Hosch and Mary Hill; Married (2) c. 1840, Nancy F.
