James Hill b. December 28,1772 in Lexington, Ky. and died December 29, 1858 in Lancaster, Indiana married Mary Cope. Mary's parents were John Cope and Straight Path Na Wish-R-Bai. They had 13 children. One of them was Jesse Hill who is my gg-grandfather. Jesse married Phoebe Munselle and they were parents of 4 children. One of them was Nancy Ann who Married James Watterson Rogers, and they had 8 children. One of them was Frances Olive Rogers who married Harry Waldo Belding and they had 4 children. One of them was my father, Alvin Belding. Jesse Hill was born in Lexington, Kentucky and Nancy Hill was born in Twin Grove, Illinois.
