I'm looking for my gg grandmother Mary Hill. This is all I know about her. Mary Hill 28 Oct 1829 TN (according to 1860 census) - 28 Aug 1886 Decatur Co., Tn. + 26 Jan 1848 Perry Co., Tn. to Silas Wheat 17 April 1803 Kershaw Co., S.C. - 29 Sept 1885 Lobelville, Perry Co., Tn. Ch: 1 Elizabeth Wheat 1848 2. John Wheat 1851 3. Henry Clay Wheat 1853 4. Caldonia Wheat 1856 5. Reubin Wheat 1862 6. Coleman Thomas Wheat 1866 7. Josephine Fene (Josie) Wheat 1866 (g great grandmother md 1. W. L. Sanford Williams 2 Nathaniel Lafayette Tate g grandfather) both from Perry Co. Josie died in Pontatoc, Miss. 8. Joseph Wheat 1868 9. Gilford/Silford (Lafe) Wheat 1869 10. Silas Wheat 1872 11. Randolph 1874 I have been told by the old timers in Perry County that Josie was mostly Indian which side of the family I don't know. The Wheats came from Wales, UK. This is one of the brick walls I've been hitting for the past few years, would make a nice Christmas gift if I found her.
