Does anyone have any connections to these HILL families? My grandfather was James Shadrack HILL b. Sept. 12, 1880 in Girard,Macoupin Co.,IL. to William HILL and Nora RUTHERFORD. They where married Dec, 11, 1878 in Jersey Co.,IL. William is listed as age 21, probably born in 1857. Nora is listed as being 18, probably born in 1860. Jersey Co.,IL., was formed from Greene Co.,IL. In the 1830 federal census these HILL families are listed for Greene Co.,IL. Certainly the 1840 census would be more helpful but I accessed the 1830 census from the Greene Co.,IL rootsweb site. These HILL's must be pretty well documented by someone. I am certain that these are my HILL ancestors but need your help in filling in the blanks. They all lived near each other. Jehu HILL, head of household 1 white male, between age 5-10 1 white male, age 40-50 (Jehu HILL) 1 white female, between age 60-70 (Jehu's mother?) John M. HILL, head of household 2 white males, between ages 5-10 1 white male, between age 10-15 1 white male, age 40-50 (John M. HILL) 1 white female, between age 10-15 1 white female, between age 40-50 (Mrs.? HILL) Middleton B. HILL, head of household 1 white male, under age 5 1 white male, between age 5-10 1 white male, between age 30-40 (Middleton B. HILL) 1 white female, between age 10-15 1 white female, between age 20-30 (Mrs.? HILL) Living next door to this family in Greene Co.,1830 was: John RUTHERFORD, head of household 2 white males, under age 5 1 white male, between age 30-40 (John RUTHERFORD) 1 white female, under age 5 2 white females, between age 10-15 1 white female, between age 20-30 (Mrs.? RUTHERFORD) Any help is very much appreciated. Can anyone sort them out. Does anyone know there nativity? There must be a connection to all of these HILL's. Thanks, Shirley
