I sent the following to Lena in reply to her question about anyone finding anything. Sometimes it does feel as if everyone is finding lots of information and you're left out. I get discouraged, too. About that time, I find a treasure! Or, if I don't, I switch to another line for a short while to clear my head. Kinda like fishing - I keep several lines in the water. When one never bites, another might bob and get my attention. Try looking somewhere else - census records, or even send for a vital record, or look into a cemetery in the area. Or, even call the library in an area you think might apply and talk to a librarian. They might have a suggestion you haven't thought of...or a source. Worth a long distance call! Have you checked newspapers in the area, or compilations of newspaper notices? They are sometimes available. No matter what, don't give up. Oh, another suggestion - if you have census stuff, go back over it - you might have missed something. Or, do a search on your "brick wall" to see if something new has been submitted. Good luck - Jan Hall
