    2. The most remote ancester identified by my family is Isaac Hill b. ~1740 d. ~1830. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and pension application information may be available for him. His son Ephraim b. May 1778 d. July 24, 1832 is the only son of Isaac for which I have any information other than names. Ephraim's brothers were Luke, VanAger, Isaac and Seth The only source for this information is a family tree researched prior to 1923 with support from Hill family reunions at their farm near Painted Post (Caton) New York. This tree has been published in a book I have only heard of.Ephriam's oldest children were born at New Milford, Litchfield County, Connecticut.
