Trying to trace information on my husband's grandfather. His name was Leroy Gilbert Hill born April 15, 18 ???, raised in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. His father died when Leroy was quite young and his mother remarried to a Bateman. Leroy ended up settling in Hamilton, Ontario where he married Ella May Potter. they had nine children. Leroy might have been from Native American descent or English, we are not sure. Thanks in advance. Sheila.
