    2. Richard Hill who lived in Lunenberg County, VA later Bedford County, VA, d 1768; married Dorcal Moberly, son William d 1790, and his sons were Abel, Asaph, and Richard. Abel, b 1730 in VA. DAR# 342304, resided in Rutherford county, North Carolina during the Revolutionary War and served as a Civil Service juror in the Court of Common Pleas and Quarter Sessions of Rutherford County in 1780. Purchased land in Rutherford County (then Tyron) in 1776, died 1803; married Elizabeth Waggoner. children of Abel Hill and Elizabeth Waggoner Charles b. 1774- d 1845.; Richard; John b 1760-died 1831 married Annied Naomi Camp b1774; George Washington b1762-d 1838 married Also Ashworth b.1763-died 1823; James d, 1834; Reuben b1764-d 1858 married Margaret Mcbrayer b1720-d1834; Asaph; Mourning (Mona) b1784-d1861 married Richard Hendricks b1779-d1851 Charles b1774 - d1845 married Temperance Webb b1780. Their children George Washington, James Stanhope; Noah; Olivia; Sallie; Ursula; Frances; Edith; Ona; John; Asaph; and Felix Walker b1806 in Rutherford Co., NC d1883 married Elizabeth Cooper in Buncombe County, NC in 1831; Elizabeth was the youngest daughter of Adam Cooper, a Revolutionary soldier who lived on Cane Creek in Buncombe County, NC. Davey Crockett, who died in the Alamo, lived on Swannanoah River not far distant; once spent the night in the home of Adam Cooper. Elizabeth played the fiddle while Crockett danced.
