DAR# 342304, resided in Rutherford county, North Carolina during the Revolutionary War and served as a Civil Service juror in the Court of Common Pleas and Quarter Sessions of Rutherford County in 1780. Their children George Washington, James Stanhope; Noah; Olivia; Sallie; Ursula; Frances; Edith; Ona; John; Asaph; and Felix Walker b1806 in Rutherford Co., NC d1883 married Elizabeth Cooper in Buncombe County, NC in 1831; Elizabeth was the youngest daughter of Adam Cooper, a Revolutionary soldier who lived on Cane Creek in Buncombe County, NC. Davey Crockett, who died in the Alamo, lived on Swannanoah River not far distant; once spent the night in the home of Adam Cooper. Elizabeth played the fiddle while Crockett danced.
