I'm exploring the possibility that I am descended from Jenny, who I think married William SMITH and moved to Cocke Co., TN in the 1830's. Cocke Co., TN is a burned county. I'm wondering if my Wm. SMITH could be a brother to Hannah SMITH that married Jenny's brother, Elias MITCHELL. Who were the parents of Millie HILL? Mildred, "Millie", is a very familiar name. My grandmother was Alice Mildred, and she had an aunt that was also named Mildred "Millie" SMITH.. The name Permelia was also used among the descendants of my "Jennie".
