I just found a discrepancy in the birth date of Mary Elizabeth HILL(HILLS) who married John COPSEY of St.MARY'S CO MD. I originally had her birth date as 1793, but found the FRESCO book on Mrg&Deaths at my library. On page 361, she lists MARY COPSEY as age 80 upon death and says she was buried Jan14,1864 which would make her birth date about 1784. Then right above that, it lists John(Is he her son? or son of another wife of John,Sr.?or of another COPSEY?) as having celebrated his 93rd birthday before death in Jan 1892. That would place his birth at 1799--I had Dec 1811. Does anyone have any facts to determine which date is correct. Thanks. If John was born in 1799 (and "if" it is the same John as s/o John,Sr) then he may not have been her son--depending on which birthdate is correct. Thanks for any help. Bonnie mailto:gatreon@vnet.net
