Well, folks, I'm still looking for info on Samuel M. Hill that married Mary Elizabeth Hambrick. We first thought Samuel was born about 1840--don't know where--but we have now decided it must have been about 1838. He may have been a brother to Hinton Hill who's 3rd wife was Mary Elizabeth's sister, Virginia. Samuel was the Chief of Police in Fayetteville, Lincoln Co., TN but we don't know the exact years. Mary Elizabeth died before Nov. 1890 when he married Mollie Walker. Samuel M. died in 1897 in Fayetteville. His obit stated that burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery but we haven't been able to find the grave. Samuel M. and Mary Elizabeth had children: Cynthia L. (Ella), Drew Isaac (listed as Drury I. on the census) Andy Forest, Samuel R., Fannie V., Nancy Elizabeth ( Lizzie), and Minnie who died about age 2. There were no children from the marriage to Mollie Walker that we know of. We haven't been able to locate the parents of Samuel M. or Hinton and are not sure where either was born. Does anybody have even a shread of info that might help us? Anything would be greatly appreciated! Suzanne
