It has been a while but I thought that I would again throw out my Hill line. Recent research in Ireland was a success but I am at a dead end on my US ties. My ggrandfather, Joseph Hill, came to the states around 1883-84. He settled into the New York city area and then moved late in life to Pittsburgh, Pa. He had sons, James, Dave and Joseph(Joe) by his first wife Anne Murphy(Ireland) and sons William,my grandfather, George and daughter Rachael by his second wife Jane McCoary(Ireland). I believe that Joe is buried in Brooklyn. I recently was informed that my ggandfathers brothers and other family members predeeded him to the states and that they migrated south. Up until this info, I have excluded Hills in the southern states...whoops. I have made extensive contacts in Ireland and would like to contact any Hills that may have family members from Monahan County, Ireland...Cornaso Parish. This Hill migration should have taken place between 1850 and 1885 and except for my grandfathers side, we have lost contact with the other members of the line. Hope this jogs some family memories....thanks, Bill
