Would like to contact anyone who might have any info on Japhet Hill and Hannah Knight. They were marr. in Scarboro, ME, 9 Oct 1760. In several publications, Japhet is also referred to as a brother of Daniel Hill who marr. Elizabeth Holmes. Japhet and Daniel were with the "Original 16 Settler's" who settled Machias, ME in May 1763, coming from Scarboro, ME. Several "Hill" researchers have Daniel as the son of Joseph Hill and Abigail Libby of Scarboro and Kittery, ME. Would love to see some documentation that Japhet was also a member of this family.
