Greetings from Canada Just thought I would post my Hill surname in case someone is researching them: George Hill born Abt 1809 perhaps kent, England married a Dorothy or Dorothea. Children, all registered in St. Mary the Virgin, Dover Kent are: Ester bp 29 Oct. 1829, Emma Jane bp 10 Nov. 1830, William Dean bp 27 June 1832, George William bp 11 May 1834, Alfred bp 22 Apr, 1837 but born 16 Apr. 1836 Frederick Lloyd born 14 March 1843 George William Hill signed on as an apprenticed seaman and jumped ship from the Aurora, in Sydney NSW Australia and went to the Gold fields at EagleHawk, now part of Bendigo, Victoria Australia. Married Teresa McCarthy on 24 Feb. 1857. They had several children: Agnes Honora b 1858, George William b 1859, Teresa Dorothea b 1861, Charles Robert b 1863, Anna Maria b 1865, Isabella Anna b 1869.
