Seeking the children and wives of Nathaniel Hill born about 1760 in USA (maybe MA). Following the death of Nathaniel's first wife, Elizabeth Goodrich Hill, one infant son, Ezra Nathaniel born about 1791 in MA, was taken to raise by a maternal uncle. After this event Nathaniel Hill left the USA and became an early settler of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. He lived there until his death in 1847. I would like to learn the names of all his children..... If this is your family, I have information to share on Ezra Hill's Arkansas family. Thanks, Teresa

Susan, I grew up in Brocks Gap. What other families are you related to there besides the Mays? My husband's gr-aunt was Goldie Turner May who was very interested in genealolgy. Debbie
Debbie, I don't have a clue. The only link I have is that in the 1850 Nelson Co census, he lists his birthplace as Shenandoah. His wife Catherine lists hers as Augusta. By the way, my May family is from Brocks Gap, Rockingham. Is anyone researching the Hill families in Shenandoah County, VA in the early 1800's?
On 14 March 1801, Thomas HILL (Pendleton District, SC) bought 100 acres of land on the Saluda River (Pendleton District) from David Folkner (Greenville District). On 3 March 1806, Thomas HILL sold this land to Benjamin HARRIS for $62. Witnessed by William ACKER and John BAGWELL. A couple of years later (Feb. 1808) Elizabeth HILL, wife of Thomas HILL, signed a statement relinquishing her rights and interest in the land sold to Benjamin Harris. Does anyone know anything about the above Thomas & Elizabeth Hill? E. Ray Hill erayhill@livingston.net
WHO DOES HE BELONG TO? John Hill born: c 1828 Garrard County, Kentucky married: Martha Jane Ware Henry Ware was the bondsman. 28 Sep 1846, Garrard County, Kentucky. Marriage Bond 735 found in the courthouse/city hall of Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky. I have this John Hill as the s/o Isaiah Hill & Lucy Murphy. Another source gives the same parents for John Hill but a different wife: Lucy Ann Hooper. John and Lucy married 8 July 1852 in Mercer County, Kentucky. Could John Hill have been married twice?...first to Martha Jane Ware and then to Lucy Ann Hooper?...or am I way off base or confused? Donna Hill Horton
