    1. [HILL-L] John Pierson Hill
    2. Okay, I am still looking for my ggrandfather who lived in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon in 1920-1921. His parents were John Hill and Laura Pierson Hill. Laura was believed to be buried in Polk County, Texas. If there is anyone in Texas who has Hills in their line. I am interested. Also Laura Pierson was a full blood Indian. John Person Hill went to the college and married Hazel Ann Rexford in 1920. My grandmother was born in 1921 in Benton County, OR. I have very few links as to were John P. Hill died. According to my grandmothers birth certificate, John P. Hill was born in Oklahoma 1898. Does any one have any suggestions? Dose anyone have a John Hill from Oklahoma that might be related to the family. I desperately need some help on this. Also were is there a good source for finding the Dawes Rolls. I think Laura might be registered. Thank You, Brandi Walter

However, I can find out nothing about the/my CRAIG family in Ireland. This is all I have: Annie CRAIG b 28 Dec 1880 Belfast, Ireland was the daughter of William Craig b 1856 Belfast, Ireland m Mary HEANEY b 1861 presumedly before 1876 which was the birth of their first child Sarah. I have no marriage date and cannot find one. Annie married James HILL in Belfast in July 1903. They had two boys and the young family immigrated to the US in about 1915 or so. Annie CRAIG HILL did go 'home' to visit at least once. I have her passport. How far from Belfast is Ballymena? Might anyone have any information or suggestions for further research? 2. In the Charleston, SC Post and Courier, dated July 29, 1929 a weekly series "Charleston's Past" has the following info:: jULY 29 1732: The city is in the midst of a yellow fever epedemic. Those who can flee the city; all business comes to a halt. The many funerals keep the bells of the churches ring constantly, depressing the city. Eventually the city prohibits their ringing. With the cooler weather of September, the epedemic ends, but not before and estimated 7 percent of the population succumbs to it. This yellow fever epedemic may be of interest to the list because many ships disembarked immigrants in Charleston.

    1. [HILL-L] HARRY HILL, NY
    2. R Furth
    3. I am researching my great-grandparents --- HARRY HILL born in the U.S. approx. 1878. In 1910 he was living at 308 W. 111th St. in Manhattan, NY and was 32 years old. He was listed as a salesman. He was married to GRACE (MUSENAU? spelling) 20 years old, born in France in 1890. They had a child named PATRICIA ANN HILL born 2-7-1910 at Sloans Maternity Hospital in Manhattan. This info. came from Patricia's birth certificate. Patricia Ann Hill was surrendered to the New York Foundling Hospital on 1-2-1911 when she was 11 months old by a woman claiming to be her mother named ANNA HILL. She told the nuns she could no longer care for her. Patricia was my grandmother and at the age of 2 was placed with George and Elinor Buskey who raised her. She became known as Dorothy Buskey Donaldson. If anyone has any information concerning a HARRY HILL, GRACE or ANNA HILL in Manhattan around the time of 1910 I would appreciate it. I have had no luck in finding them in the census, or through the NYC Records and Archives. Thank you. Sincerely, Robin Furth

    3. Dear fellow HILL researchers, I am at a total standstill, with my HILL research, I am hoping someone out there is researching the same family. I am looking for a HILL family who had 11 children, and lived in Bradford, Manchester, around the turn of the century. The mother of the family lived at 9 Shakespeare Street, she died in 1954, some of her children where Alfred who married Doris Goodlock, Ike who was in the navy during WWII, Frances who married a PARKIN, and a girl who married a BEDDOWS. If any of these names sound familiar, I would be happy to hear from you. Diane - Port Macquarie - New South Wales - Australia

    3. Hi, my name is Sandra and I have sat back and watched for some info, that may concern one of my family members. I have not found any info. However, I had a lead on one of my family members and maybe we can connect them somewhere, but in the process I ran accross a few names that looked familiar from reading all of the mails that came in. I know that I saw a George Washington Hill, in one of my mails, and I am afraid that I deleted it. But, if you happen to read this I found a little info on him. Also, if you have hill family that was around California. You may want to take a look at this site. www.edu/lbib/spc/lingenfelter you will need an adobe acrobat reader in order to read it. There is info there, so you may want to take a look. These are pioneers to the area, and there is alot of info there. It helped me. there. = It helped me.
