I am looking for my cousins, Larry Allen Hill; DOB 9/9/47 and Betty May Hill; DOB 9/4/43. Their parents were Clifford and Sidney (McCormack) Hill.
I am new at this so bare with me. I have found out that there is a William Hill in my line that was married to a Mary Devers. They had a son named Martin John Hill who married Esther Graves. They in turn had a son named Edward O'Conor Hill who married a Nora Elizabeth Clark. They had a son who is my grandfather named William Everett Hill. I do not have any dates, or places of origins, or any information on other children they may have had. I am form Kentucky and have seen so many refernces to Kentucky and William Hills' that I thought someone must know something. Thank you for any help!
Did anyone have Hill in the Joplin Missouri area about 1870's? I am jumping around the whole state of Missouri, still trying to find Russell Hill from somewhere in Kentucky to where he and David Ann Dunbar had their first child in 1877 in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri... lena@valu-line.net
Looking for any info on my grandfather, Charles Borromeo Carberry and his ancesters. He was born in Brooklyn, New York c.1875. Married Mary "Josephine" Healey (b. 1890). They had 3 children, Josephine, Charles and Raymond. HELP-Hill people!! Charles mother was a Hill (possibly Hannah) and her family was from New Jersey and were protestant. That's all we know about her. Anyone have a connection? Charles father (or possibly grandfather) was Peter Carberry who fought in the Civil War out of Philadelphia, PA. He was born in county Westmeath, Ireland abt 1835. Charles had brothers and sisters and possibly half brothers/sisters whose decendants are still in Brooklyn(some of them anyway). Anyone with the slightest bit of info on these people, please contact me at jimmysunyofsb@yahoo.com Thanks, hope to hear from someone,Anyone??!! === __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? While tracking my Hills through Family Tree Maker's World Family Tree and other CDs I found a claim by a Hill descendant that the John Hill that settled in Loveland, Clermont Co., Ohio was a descendant of Edward and John Hill of early Virginia. I found the brothers. They had been bookbinders in London. John died about 1624 from a fight with indians; he left his daughter with friends. I could never track Edward. I found references to Edwards but could not make any connection. He was middle aged when he came to Virginia. The Hill family page shows my line going back through Henry Truman to Henry and to Robert Hill, born ca 1650. This is the line I found in my research. But I never could tie Robert and Edward together. In one of their CDs there is a section devoted to the Warfield family. In this a Hill family is given where there is a Robert Hill, born ca 1650, and a Richard, born ca 1649. These Hill children are cousins to the Richard Warfield that came to Maryland. Later in the CD it says that Robert and Mary Hill died and left Henry and Phillip to Richard Hill. I finally convinced myself that the Robert Hill born in London and the Robert Hill that left Henry with Richard is the same Robert that is the top of my line. So I am offering this up to all of the Hills to think about. You can hail me at judys@ntr.net.
