    3. Dear Listers, My HILL quest has moved to Godalming, has anyone any information or links to :- Joshua HILL m. Jane ????? about 1714, both would probably have been born about 1690-95 children :- Joshua christened 31/7/1715 Betty c. 14/7/1717 Susana c. 3/5/1719 Richard c. 12/3/1720 Jane c. 11/4/1723 I believe Joshua may be my ggg ggg g grandfather. Further to Barbara's tip about capitalisation, I always enter an estimated date of birth and marriage when adding people to my database, this is a great help to 'guesstimate' connections later on, my yardstick is males marry age 25, females at 20, and marriage is a year before the first child is born. When you have over 400 people in a database you need all the help you can get :-) Eric Hill In Bramley, Surrey, researching:- Surrey - HILL, TRIGGS, CHILDS. 3. Hill List: I have been away for awhile so thought I would re-run my request for information on my Laura Hill born in 1815 in NY state in case there are some new list members who may not have seen my earlier requests. Laura Hill was the daughter of Dr. Moses Hill and she was a sister of a Moses Hill who married Nancy Martin in 1832 in LaGrange IN. The Hill family came from NY State to LaGrange in 1830/32. Laura Hill married Washington Adams in 1832 in LaGrange. In 1840 Laura and husband Washington Adams had a daughter named Mary J. Adams. In 1842 a son named Moses and in 1846 a daughter named Martha. In 1853 Washington Adams and his wife Laura (Hill) Adams moved to Mt. Carroll, IL where in 1861 their daughter Mary J. Adams married Andrew Jackson Christian. In 1863 Washington died in Mt. Carroll, IL. We do not know what happened to other two children -- Moses or Martha Adams. Laura (Hill) Adams remarried later. Does anyone have information on these families? Thanks for help. Perry Adams

You showed a Sarah Ann Hill in your family line who was born after my Sarah. However, I have not been able to trace any other Hills to Missouri. I checked the atlas and Shannon County is not very far from Bollinger County where I believed they ended up living. Do you have anything that might mesh with this? Marlene Howmartarr@cs.com

He was the son of Miles HILL (b. 1774) and Tabitha POPE. Miles HILL was the son of Abraham (Abram) HILL (b. Apr. 23, 1732, Chowan Co. NC, died 1792 Wilkes Co. GA) and Christian (Katherine) WALTON.
