    1. [HILL-L] Thomas Hill and Rebecca Miles
    2. kathy
    3. To those Hills who can trace your ancestory back to Thomas Hill and Rebecca Miles, There appears to be a connection to the ruling families of Europe. Rebecca's mother was Elizabeth Gardiner, daughter of John Gardiner and Mary Boarman. If you go back about 10 generations, you come to William Gardynyr and Helen Tudor. There is a very real possibility that this Helen Tudor is of the Tudor family of England, the line hat produced King Henry V, VI, and VII. Has anyone seen documentation to verify this?

He married Roxanna Pease in 1835 in Enfield, had a child George Newton Hills in 1835. He was very active in Enfield town Meetings until 1842 - this is where he seems to fall of the face of the earth. 3. Help! I need info on Luther Nathaniel Hill who married Lutinse/Lutensie/Tensie Lee Freeman in or around the northeast Georgia area. They had a son, Elvis Woodie Hill, born in 1910. So I suppose that would put them being married about 1890 or thereafter. There may be info in or around the Franklin County, Georgia area, (Royston, Hartwell). Luther's parents were John Thomas Hill and Rose Ann Hill. Hill was Rose's maiden name; they were supposedly first cousins. John's parents were Jack and ?? Hill. Rose's parents were supposedly Dempcie/Dempsey Hill and Cynthia Saylors Hill. If the cousin thing is correct, Jack and Dempsey would have been brothers. Tensie's parents were possibly John Freeman and Martha Hood Freeman. Martha's parents are unknown. John's parents are unknown. Elvis Woodie Hill married Vinnie Elizabeth Hunsinger in 1935. They had 10 children - four boys and six girls - who are all still living. Woodie died Friday, September 13, 1985. Vinnie is still living in Danielsville, Madison County, Georgia. Vinnie's parents were Judith Ann Martin and George Washington Hunsinger. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks. K. Vaught

    2. I am searching for the parents, brothers or sisters of Thomas Hill. He was born ca 1835 and married on 30 Jan 1855 in Coffee County, Tennessee. I think his father might be William Hill who could have been in Rutherford, Cannon or Coffee County Tenn around 1826. Thomas died on 14 June 1865 as a prisoner of war in the Civil War. Thomas and Elizabeth McCullough had at least two children-Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hill and William Glasper Hill (who was my ggrandfather). I believe Lizzie married Jacob Simon but I have not been able to follow her line to get info on Thomas. Any help would be appreciated. Lucy
