    3. Hi Shelly, Here is my Hill-Cooley connection. This is all I have on her. Sarah HILL , 1797 , born Ashe County , NC. may be daughter of William Hill , spouse of Cornelius Vanover . The following information comes from The Vanover Family by Greg. Vanover, this is all I know about Sarah, I have seen her name Sarah Cooley HILL. The family may be connected to the Melungeon and Cherokee families . 23, Cornelius Vanover6 (Cornelius5-l) was born 1797, in South Carolina, and died 12 March 1870, in Wise (now Dickenson) County, Virginia. He was a farmer, herb doctor, and operated a grist mill. He married Sarah HILL She was born 1797, in North Carolina; died 12 December 1888 in Dickenson County, Virginia. Sarah (HILL) Vanover's father was probably the William HILL,who is listed in the 1820 Ashe County, North Carolina Census, .They migrated from North Carolina to Russell (now Dickenson) County, Virginia, about . 1845 , Louise Vanover Vore >

    3. John, Sarah & William Ingram appear in the 1880 Johnson County Federal Census. They report from E.D. 85 (Enumeration District), 5th Justine Precinct. William is their older son. My G Grandfather, Greene Franklin Ingram, was born 18 Feb 1882 in Grandview, Johnson County Texas. His mother, Sarah Ingram, died a month later, 4 Mar 1882. Greene's grandparents, the parents of John T. Ingram, raised Greene. Their names were Solomon & Elizabeth Ingram. Solomon & Elizabeth Ingram also appear in the 1880 Johnson County Federal Census. That's really all I know. I am guessing that if Sarah was buried in Johnson CO, TX, the grave was and is probably unmarked. If you find anything, please let me know. Once again, thanks for all of your help. Let me know if you ever need any help in the New England area! -Krista Ingram Groton, MA On 1/7/2000 at 6:23 AM, HILL-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > HILL-D Digest Volume 00 : Issue 5 > > Today's Topics: > #1 Re: [HILL-L] Hill family NJ/PA ["Bettijane Larson" <bjlarson@uswes] > #2 [HILL-L] Franklin NH 1928 Harness ["4dehills" <4DEHILLS@sprintmail.co] > #3 [HILL-L] Thomas Hill ["Helen Wooldridge" <hjw@networx.ne] > > Administrivia: > To unsubscribe from HILL-D, send a message to > > HILL-D-request@rootsweb.com > > that contains in the body of the message the command > > unsubscribe > > and no other text. If so, has anyone ever found any more information on any of the aforementioned persons? Did anyone ever discover who their parents were? Anyone have documented facts on these people (no rumors, hearsay or Indian stories please...lol...unless of course you have proof to support your assertion.) I have just discovered one small clue concerning William and would like to hear an update on how other researchers have been faring. I haven't had any luck contacting anyone though.
