We THINK his father was Joseph b. ca 1804 possibly in Pa. We have a family tradition that there is some Cherokee blood. Our grandfather claimed to be a "little" Indian. It sounds like there may be some connection to your line but we are really having a hard time finding our forebears. Have you done the DNA?
