    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wd.2ADI/28.1 Message Board Post: While researching my lines, I found cemetery readings completed in 1986 on most of the Hawaiian islands by Mrs. Nannette Napoleon Purcell. These cemetery listings are behind the reference desk in the Genealogy Dept on the first floor, rear, of the Hawaii State Library on King St.in Honolulu, Hawaii. I suggest you write the Hawaii State Library and ask them to look up your ancestor in the cemetery listings for Oahu. I made a list of some--not all--of the Oahu Cemeteries. I see two in the Kalihi area: Our Lady of the Mount Cemetery, Kalihi Valley Road (in Kalihi Valley), Honolulu, and St. John's Church Cemetery (also in Kalihi) at 2324 Omilo Lane, Honolulu. There is also the Puea Cemetery on 1440 N. School Street, Honolulu. Kalihi Valley and the area along sections of School street are areas within the City of Honolulu where the hispanic (Puerto Rican, Spanish, etc.) community was most concentrated on Oahu. Your best best is to get the librarian to look up your ancestor! 's name in these cemetery listings for each island (except the Big Island Hawaii which was not yet completed by Mrs. Purcell when I used them). If female, give all names married/maiden) used by ancestor if she died by 1986. Good luck!
