    1. STRANGERS IN THE BOX
    2. STRANGERS IN THE BOX (Author Unknown) Come, look with me inside this drawer, In this box I've often seen, At the pictures, black and white, Faces proud, still, and serene. I wish I knew the people, These strangers in the box, Their names and all their memories, Are lost among my socks. I wonder what their lives were like, How did they spend their days? What about their special times? I'll never know their ways. If only someone had taken time, To tell, who, what, where, and when, These faces of my heritage, Would come to life again. Could this become the fate, Of the pictures we take today? The faces and the memories, Someday to be passed away? Take time to save your stories, Seize the opportunity when it knocks, Or someday you and yours, Could be strangers in the box. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! 1. Pear Harbor casualties
    2. Hi all, I am trying to find information about a cousin that was killed Dec. 7, 1941 when his ship in Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese. Hi name is ROBERT DONALD GREENWALD, S1c, on the USS Helena. Would a Death Certificate be on file in Honolulu ? Would he have been buried in the Punchbowl Cemetery ? Is there a Sexton for the cemetery that might have burial records, and how might I contact him/her ? I am trying to find the name of his parents and where they would have been living at that time so that I can try to find an Obituary. I don't have his service number to try for a copy of his Navy records and not sure if the would release them to a 1st cousin, once removed. Any help that anybody can provide or suggestions on contacts I could try will be most appreciated. Thanks, Robert E Wallace (Bob) in Illinois

    2. Debra Felix
    3. Hi everyone, I am new to the list and thought I would tell you why I have joined. I am looking for information on my father. His name was Oren Clinton Brown. He died in 1959, when I was 5 yrs old. I know very little about him. I went to a family reunion a few weeks ago and learned some things that I thought would be worth posting to see if anyone out there can help me fill in the holes. Here is all I know. Oren Clinton Brown, he went by O.C. or Clint. born- 3 Sep 1918 in Hunter Utah. Died 1 Nov 1959. He enlisted in the Army in May of 1939 and was stationed in Honolulu at Schofield barracks in the Quarter Master Corps. It was a baking outfit. He transfered to the Civil Service in 1941 and was stationed at Hickam Field. First with the 17th Air base Aquadron and later with the 23rd Material squadron. He was a supply cleark. He lived off base a 625 Judd Street, Honolulu and later at 451 Ena Road, Honolulu. He played on the Hawaiian Air depot softball team in 1942 with, James F. Conway, Samuel Kanoe, Austin Haverland, Roy Rogers, John Liggett, Hobart Joiner, Enoch Maerz, Roland Dodd, William Azevedo, Gilbert Salvadore, J--- Wood and the manager was Salomon Doich----. He had 2 buddies that I know of, one named Pancho, he called him Putso, who was in the navy stationed on the Raleigh. All I know of the other one is that he called him Price and he was in the Army or the Air corps and stationed in Honolulu. I also know that my father was married while he was in Hawaii. I know she was Japanese and they had 2 sons. I know her name and the name of one of my brothers. I would really like to find my brothers!! I don't know how much they know of our father, so out of respect for them I won't post the name I have for one of my brothers or their mothers name. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone or if you have any information that might help me find my brothers or more info on my father, PLEASE email me. I'm sorry this is so long, it is just very important to me. Debbie Felix, in Cypress Texas __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
