Hi Christie - Your Hawaiian Genealogy website is very nice. I especially liked the history section. My husband is of native Hawaiian descent through his mother and both of her parents who were all born there. His grandparents were raised there. I have several lines to try and follow and I will try to get those surnames on your website soon! Thanks for your hard work on this! Stacey Dietiker momdit@aol.com

Thanks so much for the offer. . .and, Kim, if you read this, I'd like very much to hear from you. . .you'll know why when you read who I'm researching. I've found Antone Timas in the index to the 1910 Census (ID#HI504167944) and I'd like to know who else is listed with him and any information from the actual record. His wife was Marea Josephine Kaaihue. I can be emailed at klohe@pacbel.net
One of my great-grandfather's (Malan Privatt) died as a passenger at sea en route to Honolulu from Japan. I am curious as to where his register of death would be for the Territory of Hawaii- I assume that the authorities at his destination/first landfall would have been required to be notified. Anybody researching the family of Lloyd Thomas Krause in Hawaii are also requested to contact me. You can either post a reply to this message or contact me directly at: Davin_Krause "at" health.qld.gov.au [of course the "at" is a "@"
Does anybody know of a girl who was Miss Hawaii by the name of Collard Bob TUXFORD Rtuxford@aol.com
Hello I'm trying to find out what my family's connection is with William & Elsie BELL (nee BAILEY). They were married at St Andrews Cathedral in 1907 and had 3 children: Stennet B BELL who married Dorothy KELLER and had 2 sons: Stennett & William Alice who married William FINCKE and had: bill, Beth & Anne Janet who was a librarian at the Uni of Hawaii. Elsie Bailey came to Honolulu in 1894 from Canada but she was born in Wales (Newport, Monmouthshire) William BELL was born in Scotland and came to Honolulu in 1902. After they marriage they moved to Kahului, Maui but came back in 1910. He managed a family store: Bailey Furntiture Store, before starting the Ho-Lokahana Soap Works which he sold in 1951. He was president of McKniley HS. PTA in 1927/8 and a past master of Honolul Lodge 409. They kept in contact with my Welsh grandmother (Edith Beynon Howells, nee Batten) and sent her a food parcel during WW2. In the 1950's they visited the UK and I have photo's of them with her,. They also sent her magazines about Hawaii which I loved to read as a child. I think Elsie had a brother Harry BAILEY whose wife was called Florence: their daughter Florees (?) married Davis Brown and had 2 girls: Florence Louise & Kathryn-Marie. Any contact would be appreciated. Mary Bryceland Researching BATTEN & BEYNON, Milford Haven (esp. Capt. I would like to thank the ladies that went out of their way to go to the Punchbowl Cemetery and search for my gg-uncle Amos O. Hicks-I cannot remember your names, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart! One of these ladies even took pictures of his grave and scanned them and forwarded them to me. You could tell by the pictures that she had even taken the time to clean his grave stone, something that I never thought about, but evidently she did. Without caring persons like these ladies, we who do not live there or close to our deceased ones would be without a hope of ever finding out anything about them. To all you volunteers, thank you all and God bless you and your family. Cheryl
