Dear Lister, I'm not sure if there are any indexes available for the King Street Catholic Cemetery, maybe in the Archives. But I do know that it still exists because I located my great grandmother's grave just 2 years ago. Many of the markers seem to be in good shape but there isn't an office there where you can go to look through the files to find the plots, like there is at the Oahu Cemetery. The cemetery is located across King St. from Straub Hospital - 839 S. King St., Honolulu, Oahu, HI. Hope this helps, Leila

Hi all, There are two really useful pages added to GenLookups.com http://www.genlookups.com There's a page that has a genealogy newsfeed that shows news items from newspapers across the country that have to do with genealogy. Today's listings are particularly interesting. This page is at http://www.genlookups.com/news.htm The other one is the Miscellaneous Lookups page at http://www.genlookups.com/misc.htm This one has various types of lookup tools on the web that help you locate counties, cities, zip codes, genealogical societies, the most accurate time of day in any time zone, domain/IP converters, etc. Hope these help. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wd.2ADI/113 Message Board Post: Hi all, I have several ancestors that I believe would be buried in the King Street Catholic Cemetery, however, I am having problems finding any information on this cemetery. Can someone tell me whether there is a different name for this cemetery now? If so, what is it? If not, does the cemetery still exist? Is there any type of index to the internment records? Also, can anyone suggest ways to look up people that died about the turn of the (20th) century? I am looking for information on MARSELINO TEXEIRA MARSHALL (MACHADO), who was born approximately 1860 in Sao Jorge, Azores (don't know the village). He had a brother, JOSEPH TEXEIRA MACHADO, who lived in the Oakland, California area. I believe he died in the 1910s, but I'm not 100% sure. Marselino's wife was HENRIETTA AUGUSTA MACHADO, and she died July 2, 1925. Additionally, they had a son, MARSELINO TEXEIRA MARSHALL, JR., who died July 26, 1915.

Hi List, I am a new subscriber and need help in tracking down the following person: Harold Harry LOUBECK/LUBECK (not sure on spelling) supposed drug detective that was murdered under suspicious cercumstances in 1902 in Honolulu (so the family story goes), wifes name would have been Amelia CRAWFORD (nee MAY), somehow she met her second husband Harry, after arriving either in the US or Hawaii from New Zealand with her 4 children 3 boys 1 girl (Hilda May CRAWFORD my Gt grandmother) after Harry's death she returned to New Zealand and remarried for the third time, with the exception of two children which she left in the U.S somewhere for some reason, possibly in Hawaii. I have found all this information out since discovering that my Gt grandmother and her brothers all had US citizenship. Kind regards from chilly New Zealand. I am trying to trace an uncle who I believe was buried there in 1941. It is my understanding that it wasn't maintained very well over the years but is owned by one of the prominent families on the Island, & they were going to see about restoring it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Larry
