    1. Re: King St. Catholic Cemetery
    2. King St. Catholic Cemetery is located at 839 S. King St. Hon., Hi, 96813. It is located across from Straub Hospital in downtown Honolulu. US GENWEB @ usgenweb.org is another site where you might be able to get more information. You can e-mail Joseph Sunderland: sun_land@prodigy.com for more information on obtaining a possible database or lookups for your ancestor's name. It's not a very large cemetery but an old one. I have tender feelings for this cemetery. It is where I found my ggrandma buried with her deceased infant. Good luck on your search! Leila

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wd.2ADI/142 Message Board Post: I am trying to find out more about my husband's Grandfather. His mother had extremely little information about her family's past ... didn't even have her grandfolk's info. All's I know is that his name is Harold Burnette, and he was born in Honolulu in 1898 and died there in 1960. He married Marjorie Folck (who was born in Norway and died in California before he did). I know he died in Queens Hospital, wherever that is. If you have any ideas on how to find out more about him, or suggestions on how to search, please email me at JulieE3@cox.net - thanks!

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wd.2ADI/113.1.1.1 Message Board Post: About 10 years ago someone sent me some copies of an index that was made in 1980, or thereabouts. That index had name, year of death and date of death, and if there was a plot location, then location info. Unfortunately, they only sent me the part of the index partaining to my ancestors, and not the entire index. Additionally they moved a long time ago, so I can't ask them where they found this index. I would suggest trying to contact the Hawaii State Archives to see if they can help you with ancestors in Hawaii. I have called the Catholic Diocese a couple of times, but nothing really came of it. BTW: In 1980, someone apparently walked the cemetery, plot-by-plot, taking notes on the what they saw. Not sure if/how they filled in anything without a headstone though. Good luck!! Robert

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wd.2ADI/138 Message Board Post: Need help, have very little information. Searching for any family members of John Lee. This is the information I know. In 1967 John Lee would have been approximately 45 yrs old. It is said he was going through a divorce at the time and had children. He met a woman at a bar between Jan. 1967 - March 1967, (Joy) she was 18, do not know what bar. She was a cocktail waitress. Island was Oahu. Joy possibly lived at 752 Kanoa Street. They had a brief relationship; one child born 12/20/67 at Kapiolani Hospital. Child was Loriann Kanani. Her god parents went by the names of Blackie and Lezzy/Lizzy (not sure on spelling). Blackie and Lezzy/Lizzy were either friends or family of John Lee. If anyone has any information on this family please respond. I know John Lee is a very common name in HI but Loriann would love to find her siblings. John Lee was married but told Joy he was going through a divorce, not sure if he was! Thank you in advance. There is a possiblity that John Lee has living children as old as 60 right now.
