Common ancestor between this Henry Hicks and me is said to be Daniel Hicks (b. ca. 1740 near Edenton, Chowan Co. NC, d. ca. 1793) mar. ca. 1764 in Charlotte Co. VA to Lucy Butler (d. ca. 1814); many of their descendants lived in Montgomery Co. NC, Hickman Co. TN, and Fayette Co. IL ----------------------- 1. EMILY B. SEARS (LEVI, JOHN) was born February 02, 1846 in IL, and died August 12, 1918. She married HENRY HICKS April 09, 1863 in Fayette, IL (notes 1,2), son of LEWIS HICKS and EMILY LLOYD.
