Hicks, born abt. 187701878 in MS. I do not know who his wife was; but I know he had the following children: Willie K. Hicks (female), b abt. 1909 married Huey Davis; Tilden/Tildon T. Hicks b abt. 1903 in Louisiana married Willie Irene Davis; John M. Hicks b abt. 1911 in Louisiana; Andie Hicks; Erwin/Eirain D. b abt. 1906 in Texas; Loyd Hicks b abt. 1907 in Texas; Eveline Hicks, b abt. 912 in Louisiana; Jewell Hicks; and another child (name unknown) who married a Barron. According to the 1930 census, John M. Hicks, Sr.'s father was born in Mississippi and his mother was born in Louisiana. His marital status was widowed; but the census information on the children show their mother was born in Louisiana. I believe this family spent most of their lives in the Sabine Parish Louisiana area, with the possible exception of John M. Hicks, Sr. who obviously had to travel at some point from MS to LA.
