Thanks Dr. Alfred Hicks II aged 85 died at Bethany Rehabilitation Center on Moday, March 7, 2005. He was born January 17, 1920 in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, a son, Alfred Hicks III of Denver, a daughter, Vaughn Hicks of Beaufort SC and a sister, Virgina Hicks Broun of Denver, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred C. Hicks and Virgina Hicks and a brother, Richard C. Hicks all of Denver. Dr. Hicks was a graduate of Kemper Military Academy, attended the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Colorado with a medical degree in 1946. Followed by a internship at Rhode Island Hospital and Residency at Denver Children's Hospital. He practiced Pediatrics in Denver from 1949 to 1966, except for a two year commitment to the Army Medical Corps, where as a Captain, he served as Chief of Pediatrics at Fort Sill, OK. His avocation during his pediatric career was the care of children with birth in! jury, especially cerebral palsy. He served as the Director of Pediatric Education at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver from 1966-69. I have more info on his career if needed... Thanks
