Surnames: hicks,carpenter,smith Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Cei.2ACEB/4293 Message Board Post: i am trying to find out info on my great grandma.she was born some where between 1893 and 1896. her parents are charles and caroline smith. she was born in muskegon michigan. her first husband franklin or frank carpenter born in indiana.they had eight children.5 lived and three died.after her first husband died about 1933.she gave all her children to the state except the oldest child another daughter geneveve was adopted, the rest were in foster care. grandma later remarried to leon hicks.on grandma's death certificate there lists a robert hicks as informant.she was buried at bridgeton cemetary in bridgeton mi.the last address i have is in twin lakes mich. anyone who might have any info on anyone of the people above i would love to hear from you. chelle
