He was born Oct. 24, 1945, in Pana, the son of Edward Paul and Reva Hicks Rochkes. He married Lynn Gee in 1967 in Pana. Mr. Rochkes graduated from Pana High School in 1963. He farmed since 1963, owned and operated several businesses since 1965 and was a Burrus seed corn dealer. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pana and past member of Pana Elks, Pana Knights of Columbus, National Farmers Organization and University of Illinois Extension Agriculture Advisory Council. He also was a former 4-H leader. He served with the Illinois Air National Guard in Springfield. Survivors: wife, Lynn; daughter, Amy Ann Rochkes of Shelbyville; three sons, Paul (wife, Becky) and Michael Rochkes, both of Pana, and Lance Rochkes (companion, Sarah Mizeur) of Oconee; mother, Reva of Pana; and seven grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana, the Rev. Don J. Roberts officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Pana.
