William McKee's Company, Co. James Wood's 12th. VA. Regiment. He enlisted again in 1780 and served as a corporal in Capt. F. Coward's company with the Second VA. Regiment under Col. Hawes. He was discharged on Jan. 17, 1782. Pension Certificate # 1148 issued to his widow, Mary Swanger Hicks Mar. 3, 1843. She died Aug. 24, 1847 in Jessamine Co., KY.
