My BROWN line is somehow directly connect to this HICKS line thru DNA (further testing ongoing). Our Brown line is supposed to have been originaly surnamed HICKS (when surname change occurred is unknown, but pre 1827). Have info on their children and willing to share and exchange data with anyone. Elijah's widow remarried Jos MABE and couple ended up in Tazewell County, Virginia so connections to Russell county is quite possible. I'm still in the early stages of research, has anyone gotten beyond James born abt 1806?
